On Glass!

I think we’re underestimating Glass!

We don’t often pay much attention to it

We take it for granted

Although most of the glass is:

Transparent

Sincere

Delightful

Strong — despite its fragility

Durable — despite being formed of sand grains

Although it:

Contains our things

Gives it shape

Gives it frame

Wraps it

Protects it

It adds to it from its subtlety

and its beauty

and elegance

and its sparkle

It is the secret of the light that it absorbs

and reflects it

and breaks it

From the secret of the colors of the rainbow

Which merge

within the cup

within the pot

within the mug

within the bottle

And within many other things

It gives us the transparent effect, which we hardly notice

Because we take it for granted

Because we forget it

And pay more attention to what’s behind it

We need it when we want to know more about things

About its true color

About its true meaning

About its real essence

About its purity

About anything that might be wrong with it

About the heat of things

or coldness

About the meaning of things when they mix together

It is true that some glass is:

Colored

It is true that some glass is:

Insulating

It is true that some glass is:

Fragile, more than others

But we know the truth about glass

We don’t expect more from it than it has to offer

Cause what does it offer..

Is Enough for us

More than enough.
